January 5th. Arrived at John Merton's place in Tuross Head. John took me to a man to weld up my pipes in to my water tank, which broke off very mysteriously. We went in his +8 and very fine it is too, the +8 I mean. Went around a few shops and got some spare bits for Plod. Fetched the tank and put it on with a secure bracket which is bolted on to the chassis. It is almost fixed - hah, hah.
John dragged me down to the beach with his son and three grand children to play in the surf which was great fun. The sea was a bit on the cold side not like the warm salt water pool at Silverton , but the sea was fun.
I fixed up the tank while John and Caroline cooked the dinner.

Happy new year. Glad to see you are not realy missing your nearly new Morgan plus 8 as it sounds like your PLOD is just like it....bits always breaking and bits falling off!! Now you will have to explain me away to all those lovely Morgan people.
