I delayed my trip to Australia this year, intended to travel in October 2009 but I was persuaded to cook a Christmas Dinner for all the family. It was very difficult cooking with crutches!!!! More about this below. Mind you it was a good Christmas. I was meant to travel mid January 2010.
Events have occurred that has delayed it further, we had quite a lot of snow and ice here in the West Country and my drive which is nearly 1 mile long was so icy you couldn't drive the car on it. My daughter visited me and she got the car stuck and whilst trying to move it I fell and fractured my knee. I have been in plaster for the last 3 weeks and in consequence I am now booked for 14th February to fly out to Sydney.

Hi Julia,
We've been thinking of you and thought I would check your blog as to wear you are.
The picture is certainly beautiful, but what a shame about your accident and delaying your trip over here. We didn't get to Scotland (naturally) but went to London for about 4 days - far to short. Enjoyed it, nonetheless. Ended up staying in Birmingham for 2 nights prior to leaving for fear that we wouldn't get out of Jim's uncle's place..it was a good decision. Take care of yourself and we are looking forward to your blogs....say hello to David and Sheila for us.
Love
Heather and Jim
