The Long Drive Mallacoota to Genoa

Feb11
The Old Coast Road

I took off along The Old Coast Road to Mallacoota. A camping site is right on the sea front rather a grand place to camp if it was not so busy. The site was very full with vans packed in like sardines where the power points are. The site is so large it has sign post’s naming the roads, Flounder St was empty properly because they were unpowered sites. A friendly place with many boat trailers and cars all parked up.

I spent the day looking around and doing a few chores many people coming and going. A fishing competition was being judged with a few stalls and refreshments. A cricket match was on the green right next to the camping area and at first it looked as if it was part of the camping site.

I left Mallacoota and drove to Genoa for the night a fine site with lovely green grass and good clean toilets, rather less crowded than at Mallacoota but still too many for my liking. I met the lone woman Janet again and I was invited into her van to have a game, of making up words a bit like scrabble all I can say is well, it was fun and quite a laugh.
