The Long Drive Sydney to Wallabadah

Mar 5
We have had an awful lot of rain. Richard had to make a detour to get home from Roger’s party as a few bridges were flooded. That was after he dropped me off at the lorry park, great to have good friends saved me driving an hour to Terrigal in the dark and it was raining as well so lucky me had a lift most of the way.
I left Geoff's to day making my way slowly up to Dalby for the Southern Invasion MOQ (Morgan meet). I chosen my route thinking I would miss all the floods and still keep to the country roads I arrived at Wollombi to find the road was closed. So far it had been an extremely beautiful and enjoyable root once I got off the Pacific High Way.

I thought I would go and explore the flooded road after a cup of coffee. Fortunately the water had dropped by 2 meters from last night as I was informed by a local when he almost lost his car driving home in the dark last night.

I stopped at Aberdeen to refresh my self another little picnic spot.

I arrived at my night stop still raining on and off all day. This is a really grand site with good toilets and complete with BBQ as well, not to mention a beautifully laid out memorial garden
