The Long Drive, Byford, Serpentine Reservoir, Dwellingup, Waroona.

Dec16
Helen and I drove to the Serpentine Reservoir on a tourist route some lovely trees lined the route. I filled up with water at the restaurant-picnic spot.

A Look Out on the way round

Dwellingup, A Tourist Railway
Helen left to drive on to Rockingham while I went on to Dwellingup which I was told to be rather beautiful in the Lane Poole Conservation Park. I stopped in Dwellingup rather an attractive place for some information just my luck every thing was closed apart from the food shops. Again the trees were rather splendid. I was very fortunate to see the Marry River over flowing its banks as north of Perth had had a down pour which I had missed lucky me. I drove around the park and took many photos of water. Everyone I met said the river is the highest it has ever been since about 100 years. Normally there is little more than a trickle.
